Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Rocket Moving Services, Inc. is committed to making rocketmoving.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C, and to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable California accessibility laws.
What we've done
Our website has been built with accessibility in mind from the ground up. Specific measures include:
- Semantic HTML structure with clear headings, landmarks, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Full keyboard navigation, including menu dropdowns, the quote form, and modal dialogs, with visible focus outlines and Escape-key dismissal.
- Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Labeled form fields, clear error messages with programmatic error announcements, and grouped radio/checkbox controls where applicable.
- Color contrast tested against WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and interactive components).
- Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion operating system setting: banner scrolls, hero animations, and micro-interactions are disabled or slowed for users who request reduced motion.
- Support for the current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, and the screen readers commonly used on those browsers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
- Compatibility with content scaled up to 200% and reflow at 320px viewport widths without loss of function.
Known limitations
A few areas of our site rely on third-party content or platform features we do not fully control. We're working to address each of these, and we welcome specific reports about them.
- Customer review widget. The reviews carousel on our home and reviews pages is provided by a third-party platform. Its keyboard behavior and internal contrast are managed by that vendor. If you have trouble reading reviews, please contact us and we will read them to you or send them by email.
- Embedded maps. Interactive Google Maps embeds inherit Google's controls, which are not always keyboard-optimal. Every address on our site is also listed as plain text and linked to a plain-text directions view.
- Testimonial videos. Video testimonials on the homepage do not yet include synchronized captions. Written testimonials and case studies covering the same content are available at Reviews and Case Studies. We are actively adding captions.
- Address autocomplete. The address suggestions in our quote form come from Google Places. If suggestions are hard to navigate with a screen reader, you may type your full address directly into the field — no autocomplete is required to submit a quote.
Ongoing effort
We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project. New pages and features are reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA before release, and we periodically re-test the site with automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader passes.
Report an accessibility barrier
If you encounter a page, feature, or document that isn't accessible to you, please tell us. Include the URL, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology you were using (if any), and enough detail for us to reproduce the issue. We aim to respond within 2 business days and to resolve confirmed barriers as quickly as we can.

Alternative access
If any information on our site isn't reachable for you, we're happy to provide it another way — including reading listings over the phone, sending information by email, or scheduling an appointment where you can speak with a Rocket Moving representative directly. Nothing on our website is required to book a move: every quote can also be booked by calling the number above.
Formal complaints
If, after contacting us, you don't receive a satisfactory response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the ADA (ada.gov) or with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
